A little About Me

I am part Cherokee, Irish and Scottish. A mother of 4 and self employed. I have been in the art world for over 28 years. An introduction to the gourd art came about 7 years ago from a very good friend, Jan Cash. With a new fascination to gourds and what could be done with them, I began my study with this wonderful form of art. Jan informed me that Georgia didn't have a gourd society. Expressing her interest in forming one, she and I started our task to find out what was needed to become a chapter of the American Gourd Society. After, a lot of hard work, we receiving our first 25 members. We had accomplished becoming a chapter. Our chapter was presented to Ron Richards at the October Ohio Gourd Show in 1999. Every one of my gourds are hand painted, crafted, and one-of-a-kind.

NO two gourds are every exactly alike. I also wood burn, better known as pyroengraving. Modern and native American designs, including: wild life, magnolia's, flowers, and birds are used. Paint medium is mostly acrylic. My gourd and art work has been sold all over the northeast part of the United States and Canada. I enjoy the study of my Indian heritage, Mythology, herbs, music poetry, and religion. I hope you enjoy my gourd art. My gourds are all Georgia Grown.

I became interested in herbs about 32 years ago. When my daughter came down with the London Flu, when she was not yet year old. She was so very sick. The hospital gave her a tea enema after a few days and she was better. She had her first birthday there in the hospital.

We brought her home and after a few days she began to get sick again. I could not bare to see her back in the hospital, strapped down the IV in her foot. I contacted a neighbor that was a Mormon, her children were never sick. Debbie told me to get a tea ball and cook the garlic until it was tender. Then put the garlic into a blender and puree the garlic. I had to pour it through a cheese cloth so that there were no particles in the juice. Then she told me to make sure I watered it down, so it was not to strong, and used this as a enema. To my surprise, that was huge pieces of bile as big as my fist, that came out of her little body. As soon as this was done. Her lifeless body with a temperature of 106 was gone and she was up and was running round. I became a believer. This is was what lead me to study herbs. Over the years I have studied herbs and still do to this day I am always learning. I was told that Garlic is Gods Anti-biotic.

With my daughter as my inspiration, I have decided to start making herbs bath and body products. With two children with Rosacea, the Dr. has had problems keeping their skin cleared. Happy to say the Milk and Honey has been a blessing. Since then I have run into several customers that have eczema, the milk and honey bar has been great for clearing up their skin problems and keeping it clear.

Thanks to all my customers and my friend, who introduced me to gourd art and I have learn more about herbs from her, too. I continuing to search for new recipes for skin conditions and problems. Keeping my products as natural as I possibly can.

Made with love and care.
